Dan Howard

CEO & Co-Founder, ProvisionIQ

Dan founded ProvisionIQ after 15 years shaping how the UK funds and delivers education at scale — from skills policy to SEND reform. He has worked directly with senior officials across the DfE, DWP and Skills England, not as a consultant presenting recommendations but as someone responsible for delivering them.

Before ProvisionIQ, he held executive and board roles managing portfolios above £50m, running large publicly-funded programmes in apprenticeships, employability and EdTech. He has led Ofsted-regulated providers through inspection and has a track record of turning policy intent into operational delivery that actually works.

He has chaired a school governing board for over ten years. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Employability Professionals, and the Royal Society of Arts.

ProvisionIQ is built on a specific frustration: that the people closest to pupils with SEND — SENCOs, teachers, school leaders — are spending their time on administration that the system should be handling for them. Dan's job is to fix that.
